Originally from a small town in the Northwest, Sawyer began his stand-up comedy career in Seattle in 1989. Todd has performed all over the world, from the comedy clubs in England to the most famous stages in America (Caroline’s, The Improv, Catch a Rising Star). Sawyer’s act has been seen on television, cruise ships, college campuses, and USO tours entertaining the troops.
Sawyer won the prestigious Seattle Stand-up Comedy Competition and made his first television appearance on a local show, “Standing Room Only”. Since then Todd has made people laugh on a variety of television shows from multiple appearances on CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” to National Lampoon’s “Funny Money” or cracking jokes on CMT’s “Country Music’s 20 Sexiest Women”. He recently performed on Paramount Television’s “The World Stands Up”, which is aired in Australia and the United Kingdom and America on BBC America. Sawyer appeared on “Jongleur’s Live 3” which aired in England.
Todd has co-written and optioned 3 different screenplays. He released two comedy CDs, You Get What You Pay For and Welcome Home. He’s written for PAX TV’s “Dirty Rotten Cheater”, written and produced ComedyWorld Radio Network’s “Morning Sickness”, segment produced Sony TriStar’s “Everybody’s Talking”. Sawyer also was the driving force behind the fund-raising tour, “The Ha Brothers”.
Laced with his sardonic dark side and twinkle in his eye, Sawyer’s original stories are based on his life’s ups and downs. From being a bull rider on the junior rodeo circuit to his inability to become a fully functioning adult, his unique stories are revealing and funny.
An avid sports fan, Sawyer spends his free time playing golf and basketball. He lives in Los Angeles.
